The Foundations of Coaching
We start with what coaching actually is — and isn't. You'll learn the difference between coaching, mentoring, therapy and consulting, why the ICF defines coaching the way it does, and the mindset shift that separates great coaches from people who just give good advice. By the end of this hour you'll understand the coaching relationship and how it creates change.

The Core Coaching Conversation
You'll learn a simple, repeatable framework for running a powerful coaching conversation from start to finish — how to open, how to listen at a deeper level, how to ask questions that create insight, and how to close so your client leaves with clarity and a next step. We'll demo it live, then you'll practice it yourself in breakout pairs.

Live Coaching Practice
This is the heart of the workshop. You'll coach and be coached by another attendee in real time, with guidance and feedback from Braja and the AFC team. You'll experience firsthand how a well-run coaching conversation feels from both sides — and you'll see why practice, not theory, is what builds real coaching skill.
- 4Hour
Your Path to Certification & Clients
We'll walk through what it takes to become a certified professional coach — the ICF credentialing path, the hours, the mentor coaching, and how Academy for Coaches supports you through all of it. You'll also learn a simple system for getting your first paying clients, so you can turn this skill into income if you choose to. We close with your certificate and next steps.
